Introduction

The FlowPro fund table is a good place to start when describing FlowPro’s fund flow and fund allocation data. It contains over 10,000 rows, each corresponding to a mutual fund or ETF. Each fund has category group property and a category property; category groups are collections of categories.
Currently there are 10 fund category groups. The category group with the most funds is X and the category with the most AUM is XX.

Currently there are 214 fund categories. The category with the most funds is US Equity and the category group with the most AUM is X.

Fund Flows
Not all of the funds in the funds table are used to generate our daily Fund Flow data. That’s because we are as yet unable to source, for some funds, the input data that is needed to calculate fund flows. So we use a subset.

Fund Allocations
Not all of the funds in the funds table are used to generate our monthly Fund Allocation data. That’s because we are as yet unable to source, for some funds, the input data that is needed to calculate fund allocations. So we use a subset.
The following tables show the average number of funds (sample size) that we use per month to generate our monthly Fund Allocation data, compared to the total number of funds in that category that we are aware of. They also show the sum of the AUM of those funds relative to the sum of the AUM for that category.
